RAMS

Creation and Review

Site Inspections

Site Inspections are an essential way by which employers and clients ensure the safety of working sites. We can inspect your site on your behalf applying our knowledge in various legislations and regulations to ensure compliance focusing on contractor compliance with CDM 2015, reviewing documentation such as RAMS, PUWER and LOLER, and site walk arounds checking everything from welfare and site security to scaffolding and trade safety.

Scaffold Inspection

(TG1:22) and by design

Temporary Edge Protection (TG1:22) and scaffolding are required to be inspected every 7 days, after any damage, and even after adverse weather. We offer inspections of all scaffolding and edge protection to ensure the safety of your site, your operatives, and the public.

Manual Handling

Musculoskeletal injuries are the most common form of injury in the workplace. Our training shows every employee the correct techniques for moving any size material and when it’s safe to handle by hand and when to use mechanical means.

Working at Height

Falls from height are the number one cause of fatal injury and deaths throughout the construction industry. We offer practical training for operatives to ensure they work safely at any height, covering all trades.

Safety Harnesses

We offer training for operatives to ensure their safety harnesses are in good order to ensure safety while working at height, including visual checks, proper fitting, and hook on/hook off procedures.

Abrasive Wheels

We offer training in the correct use and maintenance of all abrasive wheels from mounted pedestal grinders and tool sharpening wheels to handheld grinders and disk cutters for all materials.

Toolbox Talks

TBTs are an excellent way to give continual training to your operatives, ensuring you fulfil your duty to maintain a safe working environment. We offer quick and effective TBTs that cover a wide range of subjects and situations across the trades so your operatives can be kept up to date while not cutting into the working day.

With a strong foundation in military construction and experience in some of the world's harshest environments, I pride myself on bringing military standards into the industry to ensure our clients' safety—both physically and legally. I've worked with one of the largest civil engineering companies in the UK, where these military standards have proven invaluable in maintaining safe working practices across multiple projects.

Daniel McAvoy

Company Director

I've been in the construction industry for 25 years, starting at 19 as a Dry Liner/Metal Fixer, and later becoming a supervisor for a brickwork company. A few years ago, I transitioned into Health & Safety, joining one of the UK's largest fencing contractors. There, I contributed to projects like HS2, motorways, and infrastructure sites, as well as working in prisons and National Grid sites. Later, I joined one of the top Health & Safety firms, conducting site inspections for major builders such as Bellway Homes, Crest Nicholson, and Hill Group. My role included reviewing contractor documentation, performing Fire Risk Assessments, and ensuring construction companies adhered to legal requirements and current legislation.
